Halogen Free Flame Retardant App

As Ammonium Polyphosphate (APP) is in line with the development trend of Halogen-Free Flame Retardant environmental protection, it has become a hot area in the development of flame retardants at home and abroad.

Among the five different crystalline forms of APP (type I-V), the research on the high degree of polymerization of crystalline type II ammonium polyphosphate is most valued. Its degree of polymerization, decomposition temperature is significantly improved, and it has good thermal stability and low water solubility. It is an environmentally friendly, high-efficiency Inorganic Flame Retardant that can replace halogen-containing flame retardants and is widely used in polyester, polyolefin plastics, rubber, High-grade intumescent fire-retardant coatings and other fields. The foreign crystalline II APP has been commercialized, Clariant in Germany, Solutia in the United States, Chisso in Japan, etc. have all been produced in large scale, and have been in polyester, polyolefin , polyurethane and other fields for Flame Retardant applications. The development of this product is still in its infancy in China. At present, the domestic chemical industry research institute is doing a better job in China. The preparation method and detection method of its products have applied for national invention patents.
